The Alamodome in San Antonio opened on May 15, 1993, and though it is a multipurpose facility, it was known as the home of the San Antonio Spurs until they moved to the AT&T Center after the 2001-02 season. They played a total of nine seasons at the $186 million facility. The stadium seats about 20,600 in its arena configuration, but the seating can be expanded to hold up to 36,500 spectators.
